01 — Origin
Aragonite Source is operated by the former principals of Marcona, who harvested aragonite at Ocean Cay from the 1970s into the early 2000s. Today, in close conjunction with the Bahamian government, we dig at sites selected for remarkably uniform product testing and robust environmental renewability.
Our mission is simple: deliver on time, always to specification. We have never had a rejected load, and we have never failed to meet customer demand.

02 — The Mineral
Limestone takes millennia to form and varies wildly within a single deposit. Aragonite is forming right now — as you read this.
Bahamian oolites are a very pure form of calcium carbonate — ovular grains built from needle-like crystals that clump together as they precipitate to the ocean floor. Uniform chemistry, load after load.
Limestone is finite. Aragonite forms continuously and in great numbers where Atlantic waters converge with the Gulf Stream — a genuinely renewable mineral resource.
Phytoplankton pull carbon from the atmosphere; it binds with calcium in seawater and settles to the ocean floor as aragonite. Harvesting shallow waters can even enhance the rate of formation.
